This disc, by Mitsui Advanced Media America, uses gold as a reflective layer, which offers maximum resistance to chemical breakdown - one of the major causes of disc failure. Preliminary tests show that the MAM Gold Archive Gradeâ„¢ DVD lasts significantly longer than ordinary silver recordable DVD discs.

Note: The picture shows the gold surfaced version of this disc, which won't work with an inkjet printer. The discs shipped to you will be the gold archival discs, but with the white inkjet printable surface on the top, so that you may use the inkjet disc printer of your choice.
